I've watched Russ work in this community for over a decade — from infrastructure projects to downtown Redding's Market Street revitalization. He listens, studies the problem, and finds the right solution. He serves quietly and with integrity, including work for Redding's underserved. His decades of experience and deep love for this city make him exactly who we need on City Council.

I have known Russ for over a decade. He is bright, caring and committed to helping our community. His training as an engineer provides him with a detailed approach to complicated problem solving. Given the current budget challenges our City faces, he will be an asset to our City Council.

I worked with Russ when he put in hundres of volunteer hours managing portions of the construction of Fantasy Fountain and Kid's Kingdom in the Enterprise Community Park. I enjoyed working with Russ and his knowledge and commitment made a huge difference for children, families and the City. I'd with with Russ anytime and I support him for City Council.

With thirty years of working with City Council members, I support Russ Wenham because I've seen him: (1) Demonstrate that he has an established identity and self worth that is not dependent on holding public office; (2) He's calm, deliberate, courageous, thoughtful, and compassionate; and (3) He understands the importance of non-partisan city government that prioritizes service to all of Redding. Russ Wenham checks all of these "boxes".

Russ has the kind of expert leadership we need on the City Council. While working with Russ on the committee to update the City's Development Impact Fees, his civil engineering experience has been invaluable. While serving together on Redding's Planning Commission, I also observed his deep commitment to the people and businesses in Redding.

Having developed projects in multiple states, ranging from retail to government facilities, I've learned the value of having the highest skilled civil engineer lead the efforts in each local community. Russ Wenham is one of the most capable and skilled engineers I've had the pleasure of working with. Without Russ's leadership, developing our premier Churn Creek Marketplace Shopping Center in Redding would have been more costly and time-consuming. The Redding City Council needs the kind of leadership Russ has to offer.

In my years of providing commercial real estate services in Redding, Russ Wenham has been one of my go-to professionals when I need advice on how to negotiate City processes and approvals. Russ has always been willing to help and go the extra mile to help find solutions. Russ will bring a deep knowledge of City government to the City Council.
